Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC
Service Terms & Policies
Effective Date: September 8, 2026
Version: 2.1
Thank you for choosing Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC. These Service Terms & Policies are intended to clearly explain what customers can expect when receiving services from us and what we ask of our customers in return.
By scheduling, authorizing, or receiving services from Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC, the customer acknowledges these policies.
Some provisions of these Terms apply only to particular detailing services and apply only when the customer receives the applicable service.
Part I — General Service Terms
1. Estimates and Pricing
Prices advertised or quoted by Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC may be based on the type of service requested, the vehicle involved, the expected condition of the vehicle, the location of service, and other circumstances relevant to performing the requested work.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, quoted prices assume conditions reasonably typical for the service being purchased.
Additional time, labor, products, travel, specialized treatment, or other services may result in additional charges when circumstances differ substantially from those reasonably anticipated at the time of the original estimate.
If an additional charge is necessary, Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC will make a reasonable effort to notify the customer and obtain approval before performing work that would increase the agreed price.
Customers are not obligated to approve additional optional work.
2. Customer Authority, Information, and Vehicle Access
The customer represents that they own the vehicle or otherwise have lawful authority to authorize the requested services.
The customer is responsible for providing reasonably accurate information regarding the vehicle, requested service, service location, and any known conditions that may materially affect the requested service.
The customer authorizes Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC to access the vehicle and any areas reasonably necessary to perform the authorized services.
When reasonably necessary to complete the requested service, the customer also authorizes Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC to start, operate, reposition, or move the vehicle.
3. Customer Availability
The customer or another authorized person should be reasonably available at the beginning and completion of the service unless arrangements have been made in advance.
During the performance of services, the customer or another person authorized to make decisions regarding the service must remain reasonably reachable by telephone, text message, or another agreed method of communication. This allows Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC to obtain clarification, additional authorization, approval of additional charges, or instructions regarding unexpected conditions when necessary.
If Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC is unable to reach the customer or an authorized person when a decision or authorization is reasonably necessary to continue the work, Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC may pause, modify, or discontinue the affected portion of the service until authorization or instructions can be obtained.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC will not perform additional billable work requiring customer approval solely because the customer cannot be reached.
If Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC cannot access the vehicle, obtain necessary authorization, or otherwise begin work because the customer is unavailable, the appointment or service call may be considered a missed appointment.
4. Payment
Unless otherwise agreed to in writing in advance, payment is due in full immediately upon completion of service.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC may accept cash, major credit or debit cards, approved electronic payment methods, and other payment methods made available by the business. Personal or business checks may be accepted only with prior approval. Acceptance of a check is at the sole discretion of Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC and should not be assumed unless specifically approved before service. Availability of a particular payment method is not guaranteed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have an available method of payment at the time service is completed. A declined card, unavailable electronic payment service, insufficient funds, or other payment difficulty does not relieve the customer of the obligation to pay for authorized services performed.
If payment cannot be completed at the time service is finished, the outstanding balance remains immediately due. Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC may provide the customer with another reasonable method of completing payment and may decline to provide additional or future services until all outstanding balances have been paid.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC reserves the right to require a deposit, prepayment, or other payment arrangement before beginning service when reasonably appropriate, including for unusually large or labor-intensive services, special-order products, previous missed appointments, previous payment problems, or other circumstances communicated to the customer in advance.
Any required deposit and the applicable cancellation or refund terms will be disclosed to the customer before the deposit is collected.
Special payment terms may apply to approved commercial, fleet, or recurring customers under separate written agreements.
5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments
Scheduled Services
Customers are asked to provide at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling a scheduled appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a deposit or prepayment requirement for future services.
6. Appointment and Arrival Times
Appointment and estimated arrival times are scheduled in good faith.
Because vehicle condition, previous appointments, traffic, weather, travel, emergency circumstances, and other conditions may affect mobile services, arrival and completion times may occasionally change.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays.
7. Unsafe Conditions and Service Refusal
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, relocate, or modify service when a vehicle, customer, location, or surrounding environment presents an unreasonable health, safety, legal, or property risk.
Human or animal bodily fluids
Needles or other sharps
Hazardous chemicals
Significant mold or biological contamination
Pest or insect infestations
Dangerous or improperly secured items
Illicit or illegal drugs, narcotics, or related contraband
Aggressive animals
Unsafe vehicle conditions
Unsafe roadside or working locations
Abusive, threatening, or dangerous conduct
Requests that could reasonably damage a vehicle
Illegal activity
If such a condition is discovered after work has begun, the customer will be notified when reasonably practical.
If service is discontinued after substantial authorized work has already been performed, the customer may be responsible for reasonable charges for work completed before service was stopped.
8. Mobile Service Locations
For mobile services, the customer is responsible for providing or identifying a legal and reasonably safe location where the requested service can be performed unless other arrangements have been made.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC may decline, delay, discontinue, or relocate service when the location presents a safety hazard, knowingly violates property rules, creates an unreasonable risk of damage, interferes with traffic or public safety, or otherwise prevents the work from being performed safely and properly.
9. Weather and Environmental Conditions
Because Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC provides mobile services, weather and environmental conditions may affect appointments.
Service may be delayed, modified, relocated, or rescheduled because of conditions including severe weather, lightning, excessive wind, extreme temperatures, precipitation, unsafe road conditions, poor visibility, or other circumstances that prevent services from being performed safely or effectively.
Weather-related changes made by Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC will not be treated as customer no-shows or cancellations.
10. Changes to Requested Services
Customers may request additions or changes to services before or during an appointment.
Any resulting changes in price should be agreed upon before additional work is performed.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC will not intentionally perform significant additional billable services without customer authorization.
11. Photographs and Documentation
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC may photograph or record a vehicle before, during, or after service for legitimate business purposes including, but not limited to:
Documenting pre-existing vehicle condition
Documenting work performed or attempted
Quality control
Maintaining service records
Resolving customer questions or disputes
Documentation will be maintained and used for legitimate business purposes. Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC will make reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary disclosure of customer-identifying information contained in photographs or recordings.
Photographs taken for service documentation will not automatically constitute permission for Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC to use those photographs for advertising or promotional purposes.
Permission to use identifiable customer vehicles or photographs for advertising, social media, or other promotional purposes may be requested separately.
Part II — Auto Detailing Services
12. Detailing Pricing and Vehicle Condition
Unless specifically stated otherwise, detailing prices assume a vehicle in reasonably typical condition for the service being purchased.
Additional time, labor, products, or specialized treatment may be required for conditions including, but not limited to:
Excessive pet hair
Heavy mud, dirt, sand, or debris
Excessive trash
Severe staining
Heavy food or beverage contamination
Excessive smoke residue
Strong odors
Sap, tar, adhesive, or similar substances
Significant bug accumulation
Excessively soiled carpets or upholstery
Other conditions requiring substantially more work than normally expected
If such conditions require an additional charge, customer approval will be obtained before additional billable work is performed.
13. Personal Property
Customers are encouraged to remove valuables, money, important documents, medications, firearms, fragile items, and other important personal property from the vehicle before detailing service begins.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC will make reasonable efforts to protect personal belongings encountered during the service.
Loose personal items may be moved, gathered, or reasonably secured within the vehicle as necessary to perform the requested detailing service.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC will not open, but may move, purses, backpacks, luggage, packages, or other personal belongings as reasonably necessary to perform the requested detailing service. No cleaning of these items will occur during any level of detailing service.
Items that reasonably appear to be trash may be discarded unless the customer provides other instructions.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC is not responsible for loss or damage involving undisclosed, improperly secured, or unusually fragile personal property except to the extent responsibility is required by applicable law.
14. Pre-Existing Damage and Vehicle Condition
Vehicles may contain scratches, dents, chips, cracks, stains, loose or damaged trim, worn upholstery, failing clear coat, damaged paint, deteriorated plastics, broken controls, loose accessories, weakened adhesives, or other pre-existing conditions.
Normal detailing procedures may reveal previously hidden damage or deterioration that was concealed by dirt, grime, oxidation, staining, or other contaminants.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC may document the condition of a vehicle before, during, and after service using photographs, video, written notes, or other records.
Customers are encouraged to identify known damage, fragile components, aftermarket equipment, recent repairs, or other areas requiring special care before work begins.
Nothing in this policy releases Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC from responsibility for damage directly caused by its negligence or wrongful conduct.
15. Results and Limitations
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC strives to provide high-quality detailing services; however, specific results cannot always be guaranteed.
Some stains, odors, scratches, oxidation, mineral deposits, water spots, contamination, discoloration, and other defects may be permanent or may require services beyond those originally purchased.
The age, condition, materials, previous treatments, repairs, and maintenance history of a vehicle may affect the final result.
Payment for a detailing service is payment for the labor, products, and services performed and does not constitute a guarantee that every defect or contaminant can be completely removed.
16. Stains and Odors
While Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC will make reasonable efforts to treat stains and odors included within the purchased service, complete removal cannot be guaranteed.
Odors caused by smoke, mold, mildew, pets, biological contamination, spills beneath carpeting, HVAC contamination, conditions of unknown origin, or materials absorbed into vehicle surfaces may return after treatment.
Additional treatment may be recommended when appropriate.
17. Fragile, Damaged, or Aftermarket Components
Customers should inform Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC of any known loose, damaged, repaired, modified, or unusually fragile components before service.
This includes aftermarket electronics, window tint, decals, wraps, accessories, trim pieces, switches, vents, seat components, convertible tops, aftermarket upholstery, and similar equipment.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC may decline to clean or treat an area when doing so could reasonably cause additional damage.
18. Child Safety Seats
Unless specifically agreed to in advance, Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC does not clean child safety seats or their straps, covers, padding, buckles, or other components.
Customers are responsible for removing a child safety seat when removal is necessary to perform the requested detailing service and for properly reinstalling or securing the seat afterward.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC does not install, inspect, certify, or verify the proper installation or safety of child restraint systems.
19. Detailing Work Area Requirements
The work area must provide enough space to safely access the vehicle on all sides, including fully opening all doors to their factory stopping point, including trunks, tailgates, and back hatches.
If access to water, electricity, or other utilities is required for the scheduled service, any such requirement will be communicated before the appointment.
Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC may decline or relocate detailing service when the location prevents the work from being performed safely and properly.
20. Satisfaction Concerns
Whenever reasonably possible, customers will be given an opportunity to inspect completed detailing work at the time of completion and are encouraged to bring any questions or concerns to the attention of Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC.
Concerns regarding the quality or completeness of a detailing service should be reported within 24 hours of completion and will be addressed in accordance with the Customer Satisfaction Policy.
Because some stains, odors, contamination, defects, and other conditions cannot be completely removed or corrected through detailing, dissatisfaction with a result does not necessarily mean that the service was improperly performed.
If a customer chooses to have another business or individual inspect, clean, detail, correct, redo, or otherwise perform work on the vehicle, any resulting charges or expenses are the customer’s responsibility unless Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC expressly agrees in writing in advance to pay or reimburse a specific expense.
Nothing in this section limits responsibility for physical damage directly caused by the negligence or wrongful conduct of Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC or any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
Part III — General Legal Provisions
21. Applicable Law and Non-Waivable Rights
These policies are intended to establish reasonable expectations between Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC and its customers.
Nothing in these policies is intended to waive or limit any right or responsibility that cannot legally be waived or limited under applicable law.
22. Questions
Customers with questions regarding these policies, a scheduled service, pricing, or the condition of their vehicle are encouraged to contact Mark’s Auto Detailing, LLC before service begins whenever reasonably possible.
